Sigmund Freud said it best when he mused that: "No one who, like me, conjures up the most evil of those half-tamed demons that inhabit the human breast, and seeks to wrestle with them, can expect to come through the struggle unscathed."
Whether it is observing the demons inside others or introspectively probing the demons inside ourselves, we will uncover both the bravura and the ignominy of the human condition. Perhaps Freud meant more of the later, but observation and introspection are not simply roads to harrowing experiences; some of the greatest triumphs known to humankind have come from delving into the uncomfortable and unfamiliar crevices of thought.
Welcome to Psycholo G
In this blog I will explore the human condition through personally written short stories, article analyses, and psychological debates. If we do not explore topics that are foreign or even uncomfortable, then we cannot call it an exploration at all. If what we inspect does not evoke some level of fear, then the inspection is not worth the effort. So here’s to further exploring half-tamed demons. Here’s to conjuring repressed shames. Here’s to scathing our minds. Get ready to be uncomfortable.
